With over 12 years of experience and a fresh start in Australia, stepping into mentorship felt like a natural next chapter for me. As someone who’s always been passionate about community building, becoming a mentor wasn’t just a goal, it was something I genuinely believed in. Walking in as a first-time mentor, I won’t lie, I had my nerves. I wasn’t sure if I could truly make a difference. But from day one, I made one thing clear to my mentee: I’m here for you, completely. ![]()
What followed was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Watching my mentee transform from uncertainty to confidence, from waiting to taking initiative, from the sidelines to actively landing roles where he could grow and upskill that’s something I’ll carry with me for a long time. Knowing I played even a small part in guiding him toward the role he worked so hard for, this makes me feel an immense sense of pride. Not just in him, but honestly, in myself too. The Mentor it Forward program reminded me why community matters. Why showing up for each other matters. ![]() If you’re considering joining the MiF program, whether as a mentee, a mentor, or in any volunteer capacity, don’t hesitate. It’s one of the most meaningful ways you can give back, grow, and genuinely connect. You might just change someone’s life Looking forward to the next cohort, |
