'Mentor it Forward' Program - Code of Conduct
At 'Mentor it Forward' (MiF), we strive to create a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment that promotes positive mentor-mentee relationships and fosters professional growth. To maintain the integrity and effectiveness of our program, we have established the following Code of Conduct to which all participants, both mentors, and mentees, must adhere:

1. Respect and Inclusion
Treat everyone with respect, regardless of their race, religion, gender, age, nationality, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other distinguishing characteristic.
Foster an inclusive environment where all participants feel valued, listened to, and respected.
2. Professionalism
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. This includes clear and concise communication, punctuality, and preparedness for mentorship sessions.
Avoid discussing controversial topics or any subject that may be deemed inappropriate or offensive.
3. Confidentiality
Ensure that any personal or professional information shared within the mentorship relationship remains confidential.
Refrain from sharing or disclosing sensitive information unless given explicit permission.
4. Commitment and Integrity
Commit to the agreed-upon duration and frequency of the mentorship sessions.
Both mentors and mentees should make genuine efforts to fulfill their roles effectively and honestly.
5. Open Communication
Address any concerns, challenges, or feedback directly with the other party in a constructive manner. If issues remain unresolved, seek assistance from the MiF program coordinators.
Be open to receiving feedback and use it as an opportunity for growth.
6. No Solicitation
The primary goal of MiF is mentorship. Refrain from using this platform for direct business solicitation or any form of commercial advantage.
7. Conflict of Interest
Disclose any potential conflict of interest that could influence or appear to influence your mentorship relationship. This includes but is not limited to, financial or business interests.
8. Health and Safety
Ensure that all interactions, whether online or in-person, are conducted in a safe environment. Refrain from any behavior that may harm, intimidate, or threaten another participant.
9. Program Guidelines
Abide by all guidelines and rules set forth by the MiF program. Regularly review any updates or changes to these guidelines.
10. Report Concerns
Report any violations of this Code of Conduct to the MiF program coordinators. Our goal is to ensure that every participant has a positive and productive experience, and we will take appropriate action to address and resolve any reported issues.
