Years of experience
Short term goals (1-2 years)
In the short term, over the next 1-2 years, my professional goals revolve around finding opportunities to work with organizations that align closely with my core values of trust, collaboration, innovation, and creativity. I am eager to deepen my knowledge and expertise in the field of Human Resources. I find immense satisfaction in mentoring and coaching teams, and I aspire to continue honing these skills to contribute positively to organizational growth. Additionally, my passion for Diversity & Inclusion is a driving force, and I am actively seeking ways to immerse myself in D&I projects, promoting inclusive workplaces. My preference for working with smaller organizations stems from the dynamic and collaborative environments they often offer, allowing for a more hands-on and impactful approach to HR leadership and fostering a culture of diversity, trust, and innovation.
Effort spent to achieve those goals
In my ongoing pursuit of professional goals, I have taken proactive steps to invest in continuous learning and self-improvement. Recognizing the crucial role of leadership in HR, I have dedicated significant effort to consuming content from influential leaders and thought leaders through podcasts and audiobooks, such as Tony Robbins, Adam Grant, Simon Sinek, Brene Brown, and Mel Robbins. Simultaneously, I have engaged in a coaching relationship to receive personalized guidance, refining my leadership skills and strategic approaches within the HR domain. Additionally, I am actively exploring new job opportunities that resonate more closely with my core values, including trust, collaboration, innovation, and creativity. My focus is on identifying organizations that prioritize and nurture an inclusive and positive work culture. This intentional career exploration, coupled with ongoing learning and coaching, underscores my commitment to deepening my knowledge in HR and contributing meaningfully to workplaces that align with my values, fostering environments conducive to both personal and professional growth.
Long term goals (3+ years)
Looking beyond the next three years, my long-term professional goals align with my passion for people and my dedication to the field of People & Culture. I aspire to continue my journey by working with innovative organizations, leveraging my skills to develop and implement forward-thinking People and Talent strategies. Recognizing the evolving landscape of Human Resources, I aim to deepen my knowledge in crucial areas such as Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and leadership. As part of this commitment, I am considering pursuing certifications with the Australian HR Institute to enhance my overall HR expertise and a specialized certification in D&I to contribute meaningfully to creating diverse and inclusive workplace environments. These long-term goals reflect my dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends, driving positive organizational change, and contributing to the advancement of HR practices in the ever-evolving professional landscape.
Strengths and Weaknesses
In terms of my strengths, I find joy in working on diverse projects and tasks each day. My creativity and innovation, coupled with my quick learning ability, enable me to approach problems with fresh perspectives. I excel in fast-paced and start-up environments, embracing change and eagerly stepping into new opportunities. I am driven by challenges and am not afraid to venture into uncharted territories. Having a supportive and empowering manager or leader is crucial to my professional satisfaction. However, I acknowledge that I am currently working on handling constructive feedback more positively and viewing it as an opportunity for personal and professional growth rather than taking it personally. While my commitment to success at work is a strength, I am aware that I sometimes tie my self-worth closely to professional achievements. Recognizing this pattern, I am actively working towards creating healthier boundaries and understanding that certain work-related circumstances may be beyond my control. This self-awareness is part of my ongoing journey to achieve a more balanced and resilient approach to both challenges and successes in the workplace.
